For whom: Our course is designed for Enterprise Architects, Consultants, and Business Analysts alike.
Prerequisites: No specific prerequisites. Prior to the exam, you will need approximately 20 hours of self-directed study to prepare for the exam. This mainly consists of reading the ArchiMate® 3.0 Specification book.
Learning goals: At the end of this course you will:
-Understand the background, key concepts and applications of ArchiMate® Core for modeling and describing architectures
-Be able to use the ArchiMate® language and techniques to visualize and communicate architectures
-Understand the additional layers and aspects of ArchiMate®, their viewpoints and their application to core concepts
-Be able to interpret the ArchiMate 3.0® specification correctly prior to taking the Foundation exam
Course description: Architecture visualization and modeling requires an unambiguous framework and language, especially across business units, locations and cultures. ArchiMate is the global independent standard, co-developed by BiZZdesign and adopted by The Open Group.
This two-day course is designed for those who want to learn about and apply ArchiMate® as a modeling language. You’ll gain knowledge of the structure, key concepts and techniques of ArchiMate®, and learn how to model and visualize architectures.
Becoming ArchiMate® Certified by the Open Group proves your knowledge and abilities with ArchiMate and its application, and there is no better preparation than the BiZZdesign training courses. This course will help you tackle challenges and point out the worst pitfalls, in order to make your modeling up to par. On this course we do practical exercises, that have roots in real situations.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be ready to take the ArchiMate® 3.0 Foundation exam at a Pearson Vue Testing Center. After you pass the exam, you will be ArchiMate® 3.0 Foundation certified and registered with The Open Group. Tarja is an all-round systems work and architecture professional. She is Coala’s no. 1 trainer. Tarja has architecture experience from both the private and public sector. She has actively participated in the working group that has produced the Finnish public sector JHS179 Recommendation for Enterprise Architecture. From Tarja you will hear how issues have been solved in Finland, and how enterprise architecture adaptation has been managed in practice.
Tarja also has over 27 years of experience in developing information systems, so she knows the value of architecture as well as its pitfalls. Tarja has extensive experience in training and constructing broad based training programs. She has been a trainer at Tieturi, and has taken part in making the first ever Enterprise Architecture training programs for the public sector together with the Ministry of Finance.
